9.You run a modeling agency called True model media could you tell me a little bit about it and why you set it up?

After the Miss England finals I had made quite a few friends, anyone would be surprised to learn that many of these girls have insecurities, obviously not as extreme as I had but a lot of them had been bullied growing up etc, and where there just to seek some kind of “approval” on themselves!, soon after the final I was receiving calls from people wanting me to do various Modelling Assignments, although I had done Miss England, Modelling wasn’t for me, even now any “Modelling” photos you see of me are taken by my Brother, Mum or Boyfriend, that way I can approve them all, plus my Mother chooses all my photos as to be honest I don’t like any of them.
However due to the fact I had got to this point where I wanted to do everything I could to make up for all those years I wasted hiding in my bedroom, in addition to honor Fay and Ethan, I decided that although I physically could not take up the challenge of Modelling I could perhaps start something positive, an agency that is against this Size 0 trend!, and by doing so I could provide healthier happy role models to the industry as I believe that the rippling effect these painfully skinny unwell girls have on people with eating disorders and alike can often be the difference between Life and Death!.

I am not a miracle worker but by starting the Agency it made me feel like I was doing something constructive and positive with my beliefs!
I started of with around 12 girls who I had met at the Miss England finals, and used my web design skills to build a website, since then we have grown daily and today represent over 500 Models.

Some people may look at me and say isn’t what you are doing contradictory to your beliefs that true beauty shines from within, but unfortunately you cant always make everyone happy, all our Models are chosen based on there beauty within also, as to be honest you could have the most beautiful person walk into a room, but if she is ugly inside then I believe that makes her ugly on the outside!.
I no longer have anything to do with applicants as I would want to take everyone on! But there is only a certain amount of Models you can manage at one time and realistically get work for, so I have a division that takes care of it!, however they are all under strict orders to encourage “healthy size” Models. As we only represent girls / guys who are of a healthy weight for their height.

If for example a client told me that they want to book a Model but they need her to lose 2 inches from their hips, I would rather lose that client than pass that on to my Model!, as far as I am concerned this industry is completely out of control, and even though my beliefs may restrict the work that the Models receive, at least it means they remain healthy, happy and are good role models to everyone else out there!.
